Many fitness experts will tell busy moms if they can’t find time to get in a workout, do a workout that incorporates baby. And there are all kinds of exercises, therefore, designed for you to get in a good workout while you lift your baby and use him as a free weight in resistance exercises. But, once your little one starts moving and running around on his own, it becomes a lot tougher to work out at home with him as a willing prop. That’s when it might be time to step up your game and sign up for some Mommy and Me fitness classes.
These classes are the next step in working out with baby as he grows, and is more appropriate for toddlers. You and your little one will have lots of fun gathering with other mommies and kids and getting active together. In some exercises the mommies will still lift their giggling children above their heads like weights, but in other exercises your little ones will actually get to join in with you on their own to learn some stretches, yoga poses and other exercises that are fun for the kids. Mommy and Me instructors are great at keeping the classes moving so it stays interesting for the children and as your little one watches all the other kids do the moves, he’ll be more likely to do them than he might be at home. This is a great way for you and your child to bond, exercise, have fun and meet some new friends.
